Hello, all!! Obviously, I am not doing very well at keeping up with Xanga. Time surely does fly!! I had every intention of try to keep up at least weekly but time just seems to slip away from me and before I know it three weeks have passed. Since my last entry, Stephen, Sallie, and Daniel were here. We had a wonderful visit. It was just way too short. We had a birthday dinner for Daniel since he won't be here for his birthday and we went to see "Cars". That is a really cute movie and it is very funny. Here are some photos...

After we dropped them off at the airport, we went to our nieces' birthday party. Here are a couple of photos...

The next week John and I were very sick. We had some kind of terrible virus. I ended up in the emergency room because I was dehydrated. John was out of work for 2 days. Last week, I had a lot of catching up to do after having company and being sick.

Well, now that I'm caught up, I just want to wish everyone a WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL 4th of July. We are going to cook hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill and we'll have baked beans, potato salad, and watermelon!! Yum-yum!! Have a great day!!

Hello, everyone!! I'm sorry I haven't made it back on here but it has been pretty crazy around here. My work week went pretty well but I was sooooo glad when it was over. I did however really enjoy seeing everyone. Last week was very busy. On Monday, Nadine (my mother-in-law) and I went to Linda's to help her paint at her old house. Tuesday and Wednesday, I was trying to tie up all the loose ends for our weekend Missionettes trip, Thursday, I clean a house and I had to do my grocery shopping so my poor husband wouldn't starve over the weekend, and Friday morning, we left the church at about 8:30 a.m. for our trip with 13 girls. We went to Pigeon Forge to a fabulous cabin. Friday night we went to the Dixie Stampede (which is a little pricey). The show and the food were awesome. For those who have never been, you are served a four course meal as you watch a show. You are given no silverware because you are supposed to eat with your hands. It was amazing to me how many of our girls were grossed out by the Cornish hen. Very few of them would even touch it. On Saturday, we went to Dollywood. It was sooooo hot and sooooo crowded. We were there from about 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and the girls got a chance to ride about 6 rides. Most of the lines were from 40 minutes to an hour wait. I rode one ride. The Tennessee Tornado...I have always LOVED roller coasters and this was an awesome one. It was sooooooooooooooo much fun, but it was my last. I will NEVER ride another one so it's a good thing I have a photo of my last ride. From the combination of the ride, the heat, and my OLD age, I was sooooooo sick. I was having to fight to stay conscious. I was nauseous, dizzy, hot and sweating. We had a nurse with us and she was pretty concerned about me, especially when she took my pulse an hour or so later and it was 56. They were all trying to get me to go to the emergency room but I refused. I just wanted to go back to the cabin and lay down.Once I laid down and rested and cooled off I was much better but it took me a while to get over it. We got back to the church yesterday afternoon at about 2 p.m. and I got home about 3:30. John and I went to bed around 6 p.m. and by 7 p.m. I was asleep. I slept very soundly until his alarm went off at 7 a.m. I WAS TIRED!!

John has an appointment at the doctor's office this afternoon and either tonight or tomorrow, I will be picking Stephen, Sallie, and Daniel up. They are in Atlanta now visiting her parents and they will be here until Friday morning. I am sooooooooooooooooooooooo excited. I can't wait!!!!!!! I won't be on here anymore this week I feel certain, but next week I am going to try to get back to a regular Xanga schedule. I hope you all have a wonderful week and I am going to try to get around to comment to as many as I can this morning!!!

Just wanted to drop in and say a quick hello and wish everyone a wonderful Memorial Day!!

I probably won't be able to get on here any this week because I have to work. The company that I used to work for called and asked if I could come and help them out this week. I am regretting saying yes just a little because I am sooooo tired. I slept in this morning and hopefully I'll get to sleep in tomorrow then I have to get my nose back to the old grindstone. Thankfully, it's only for a week.

Have a great week everyone!!

It sure seems that time flies!! I just can't believe that it is almost June!!! I am having a sleepless night tonight. I don't have as many of those as I used to...which is probably why I am not on Xanga as much as I used to be. I do stay pretty busy though. We just had our annual Mother Daughter Banquet and I wish that I had been able to enjoy it more. It was absolutely beautiful. We had almost twice as many as we have ever had attend. We had 14 tables and each table seated eight. Ladies in our church took a table to host and decorated their table however they wanted to. They were awesome!!! Each one was so unique and spoke to the personality of the hostess. I was soooooo stressed out during the banquet that I spent majority of the time on the verge of tears. The morning of the banquet, our coordinator's mother passed away. That left me in charge of everything and although I was fine with it there were so many little details that I didn't know. I knew all that I was supposed to do but the things she was in charge of, I was unsure of. Needless to say, there were times I felt lost. But all the feedback that I have heard has been very good. It seems that everyone had a great time and THAT is what is important.

Well, I guess I have rambled enough. Everyone have a great day!!!

Oh, but , first let me share this...I think as women we think in order to please our husbands we have to do these great things. Well, I have found that that is not necessarily true. The other day my husband was getting a coffee mug out to take to work and we have about six different car mugs with the lids. He chose a mug from the cabinet and opened the drawer where I keep the lids and he said, "It has always amazed me that no matter which mug I choose, you always have the lid for it in the drawer." Now to me, that is not an amazing thing because when I wash the mug, I wash the lid and put them both away. But it made me feel good to know that he took notice of something so small and insignificant and it pleased him.

It has been THREE months since my last post. I remember a time when three hours didn't pass without me checking my xanga site. I can barely remember how to do this stuff and I almost couldn't remember how my user name was typed in. PITIFUL!!! I miss everyone but my life is just too busy. Way too much has happened to try to tell. I feel certain that anyone who comes here knows that Donna (nannydonna), my sister-in-law, passed away on Mother's Day. Please pray for her daughters. I doubt that anyone even comes here anymore but I was just sitting here and decided I would check out Xangaland.

Love ya, Kaye
